Magnetic Pet Doors

Looking around in the market for pet doors is no easy task, but it?s good to do a survey on the ones available. The
magnetic doors available are ideal for cats and small dogs but are not advised for small kittens. Their liner can be fitted to
a door of any depth or thickness. It saves you the bother of taking your pet out and bringing it in, time and time again,
because it operates on sensor keys fitted in the pet?s collar.
These magnetic doors come with an all-weather flap, two magnetic keys, and three settings besides the original one. They
work on a 9-volt battery, which is not included in the kit, so a regular change of battery is advised. Also available is the
Catwalks magnetic wood- fitting door, which is similar to an electronic door but does not come with the same problems of
the battery running out or electrical failure. It works on the same principles, except that here, multi-magnets open and
close the hatch for the pet to pass. These doors are manufactured out of strong polycarbonate, and their weather flaps or
seals prevent the draft from entering the home and keep out the moisture. Though these doors operate on the magnets
fixed on the pet?s collar, they also come with four manual settings that help you to keep a check on your pet?s movement.
One can choose the following settings, according to one?s needs: In, Out, Only in, or Locked.
Besides this, there is the Magnetic Mount Cat Door, which can be mounted on doors or wall panels. They come in various
sizes and run on multi-magnets, which allow you the freedom to leave your pet at home alone as this allows the pet to
come and go and also automatically closes the flap. These doors don?t need any maintenance except for an occasional
clean up, and they can be fitted in with four screws by the handyman.
These doors are available in white or grey, and the kit, besides the screws and two magnetic collar attachments, also
includes a pet training guide and an instruction manual.
